Shipping policy

Berry and Bump Ltd — last updated 5 October 2026

Everything you need to know about how your bars get to you. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Where we deliver

We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only — England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We can't yet deliver to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, BFPO addresses or anywhere outside the UK. International delivery is something we're working on. If you'd like to know when it launches, join our newsletter.

2. Delivery options and cost

Service Cost Delivery estimate
Standard — Royal Mail £3.95 2–3 working days from dispatch
Orders over £30 Free 2–3 working days from dispatch
Express — DPD (not available to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, or remote postcodes) £5.95 1–2 working days from dispatch

The prices on our product pages include VAT where VAT applies. Delivery is the only additional charge, and the full amount — goods plus delivery — is shown to you before you pay. There are no fees added later.

Free delivery applies to the order value after any discount and before delivery charges.

3. When we dispatch

We pack and dispatch orders Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Orders placed before 3pm on a working day are normally dispatched the same day. Orders placed after that, or at a weekend or on a bank holiday, are dispatched the next working day. Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday are dispatched on the Monday, or the Tuesday if Monday is a bank holiday.

You'll get a dispatch confirmation email with tracking as soon as your parcel leaves us.

We bake in small batches, so occasionally a flavour sells out or a batch runs a day behind. If we can't dispatch within 3 working days we'll email you, tell you when to expect it, and offer you a full refund if you'd rather not wait.

4. Delivery times

Delivery estimates run from the dispatch date, not the order date, and are estimates rather than guarantees — once a parcel is with the courier, its timing is in their hands.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and some remote postcodes can take 1–2 working days longer.

We'll always deliver within 30 days of dispatch confirmation at the latest. If we don't, you can give us a further reasonable period and cancel for a full refund if we miss that too.

Expect things to run slower around Christmas, bank holidays and courier strike action. We'll post notice on the site when we know about it.

5. Tracking your parcel

Your dispatch email contains a tracking link. If it hasn't updated for 48 hours, or the estimated date has passed, email us at hello@berryandbump.com with your order number and we'll chase the courier. Please don't spend your afternoon on hold to a delivery company — that's our job.

6. Getting the address right

Please double-check your delivery address at checkout. We dispatch quickly, which is lovely until the address is wrong.

If you spot a mistake, email hello@berryandbump.com immediately. If we haven't started packing your order, we'll fix it. Once packing has started we may not be able to change it, and once it has been dispatched we can't redirect it.

If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we'll refund the value of the goods but not the delivery charge, and re-sending will require a new delivery charge.

7. Safe places, neighbours and missed deliveries

If nobody's in, the courier will usually leave your parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place, or take it to a local collection point and leave a card.

Under section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, your order is at our risk until it reaches you — or someone you've named to receive it. If something goes wrong in transit, that's ours to sort out, not yours.

If you've given the courier a standing safe-place instruction, they'll usually treat the parcel as delivered once it's left there. Tell us anyway if it goes missing and we'll take it up with them.

Parcels not collected from a depot or collection point within the courier's holding period are returned to us. We'll refund the goods but not the delivery charge.

8. Missing, delayed or damaged parcels

Missing. If tracking says delivered but your parcel isn't there, check with household members and neighbours and look for a card or safe-place photo. If it's still missing 5 working days after the expected delivery date, email us and we'll investigate with the courier and refund or replace.

Delayed. If your parcel is more than 7 working days past the estimated delivery date, contact us and we'll either chase it or send a replacement.

Damaged. If your parcel or the bars inside arrive damaged, crushed or melted, send us a photo at hello@berryandbump.com within 30 days and we'll refund or replace. You don't need to post food back to us.

Full details are in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

9. A note on warm weather

Our bars contain chocolate. In hot weather they can soften or bloom in transit — that's the cocoa butter surfacing, and it's harmless, but it doesn't look its best.

If a bar arrives melted out of shape, tell us and we'll replace or refund it. Chilling a softened bar for an hour usually brings it back. During heatwaves we may hold dispatch for a day; we'll let you know if that affects your order.

10. Subscriptions

Subscription orders follow the same dispatch and delivery terms. Your renewal date is the date we charge and pack — delivery follows the timings above.

You can change your delivery address at any time in your account. Please make changes at least 2 working days before your renewal date so they catch the right order.

11. Multiple items and part-shipments

Occasionally we'll split an order across more than one parcel. If we do, you won't be charged extra, and you'll get separate tracking for each.
